Codeshare Partners
American Airlines is a global airline and offers a broad network to take you where you want to go and beyond. Because we can't fly to every destination in the world, American Airlines codeshare relationships with other airlines allows you to reach more destinations as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.
WHAT IS CODESHARING
Codesharing allows American to directly sell another carrier's flight using an AA code and flight number. American codeshares on select quality carriers, including most oneworld® carriers and our regional affiliates, American Eagle and AmericanConnection.
CUSTOMER BENEFITS
You benefit by having a large, global network - more flights and destinations. Other benefits include:
- One stop reservations and ticketing
- The ability to check your baggage and obtain a boarding pass to your final destination
- Pre-reserve a seat, when applicable
- Coordinated schedules for easier connections
- Earning AAdvantage miles based on the policies that apply to AA flights. A flight sold as an AA flight also earns elite status qualifying miles.
HELPFUL INFORMATION WHEN TRAVELING ON A CODESHARE FLIGHT:
- Check-in with the airline actually operating your initial flight.
- Baggage policies may vary based on the operating carrier, so check with that carrier to learn about baggage limits, weight and size requirements and any baggage charges.
- To book or change a codeshare flight, you may visit www.aa.com or contact your local American Airlines reservations office.
- To determine if you are on a codeshare flight and to find the carrier operating the flight, your booking details will indicate the operating carrier, as in the example below:

Service between U.S. and Canada, plus Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Service between the United States and Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Service between the United States and Finland, Belgium, France, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland.
Service between the United States and Spain.
Service between the United States and Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Service between the United States and Argentina, Chile, Easter Island, and Peru.
